I ordered these, wanting a warm pair of snow boots for when I have to be outside for extended periods, shoveling snow. The first thing I noticed was that they were hard to get on and off, and only thin socks would make it past the bend at the ankle, and even those come off when I pull the boot off. I have a small foot--size 5--medium width, and so I thought the 5.5 would offer plenty of room. But my toes hit the front of the boot and heavy socks are a no-go unless I take out the inner sole. They're not that comfortable to begin with, and taking out the inner sole makes them less so. They offer very little arch support or cushioning. I was hoping I could add a more cushioned insert or at least some arch support if that was the case, but they run too small for that. I was disappointed that I couldn't wear heavy socks with them, but I gave them a try to see if they would keep my feet warm with thin socks. I was outside in them for about an hour, and they did ok. I don't know how well they'd hold up for longer periods, but since I'm not usually outside for more than an hour or so, they were warm enough to suit me. However, I don't think I could wear them for several hours or all day without my toes feeling the pinch or my arches complaining. I should've ordered a size 6, so I could've added a more comfortable/supportive insert, but they were too expensive to return/exchange, so I'll keep them. I would recommend going up a full size from the size you usually order in street shoes. Also, the color was more beige than they appear in the picture, but that didn't bother me. They are cute, and I was hoping they'd be my new favorite snow boot, especially since they weren't cheap, but unfortunately I found them to be just ok--not terrible, but not great either.
